Sweet Scoops!

My dear friend, Mary Ann, let me order SU!'s not-yet-released stamp set, Sweet Scoops, as part of her preorder and I think this is one of the best birthday sets ever!! I immediately consulted SCS to see what cards had already been made and I found several that I really like. I CASEd this card and I just love how it turned out! This is the first time I've used SU's new clear mount stamps and I was surprised that they are so easy to align. As Hannah Montana would sing, they are the "best of both worlds!" - cushiony stamps attached to clear blocks. I have found by using PTI stamps that I REALLY need that cushion to get a clear, precise stamped image. Check them out!! Have a GREAT weekend!!

Happy Birthday, Alli!

I copied this idea from my talented friend, Annie B, who gave me a similar card for my birthday. I took a few shortcuts, though! I think this is my new favorite card layout! I love all the scallops and the paper-pieced cupcake - I don't think I ever would have thought to do that! Thanks, Annie! And I like the way the ribbon "ties" the whole project together! No, really, it does!! The red button cherry on top allowed me to pull in another color, which helps me when I get stuck in a color rut (often!). The red and pink polka dot paper is one of my faves from SU! This little gem is going to my stamping buddy, Alli, who also does BEAUTIFUL work. I hope she likes it! Thanks for stopping by and pray for pretty weather this weekend!

Cupcakes All Around!

I made this card ages ago at a Tuesday Night Stamp Club meeting and had forgotten to post it!! My friend, Mary Ann, who hosts our little group, had this card for us to make and I just love it!! There's nothing happier that cupcakes - and not just for birthdays!! We have a couple of awesome cupcake places in town but, since I'm pregnant, they don't always taste as good as I remember them :( So very sad!! I hope my taste buds snap back into shape once The Bean is born - I really miss cupcakes and diet Coke!! Thanks for stopping by - now, go get a cupcake!!

Two Peas in a Pod!

How cute is this card?!? I have a friend who is expecting twins (and as a pregnant girl, I can tell you I *flinch* every time I think about that!!), so I looked on Splitcoast Stampers to find a card for such an occasion! I haven't used my Baby Button Bits stamp set as much as I'd like, but I'm trying to make more projects using this adorable set! I think any project with buttons is guaranteed to be precious, so check out Papertrey Ink's selection of buttons and stamp sets that use buttons - you will love them all!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Always Inspired by Poppy Paperie!!

One of my very favorite blogs is Poppy Paperie. Lisa Johnson is a super-talented designer for Papertrey Ink and I love her creative projects. When I saw this card, I couldn't wait to CASE it and, since I have a stamp group meeting coming up, I decided to kill two birds with one stone! I hope my friends like making this card. Isn't it clever how Lisa used the debossed side of her paper on her card? Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful week!!
