Music to our ears . . .

Bailey's chorus teacher, Ms. Beeler, is absolutely amazing!! Last week was the fifth grade music program and it was outstanding. The kids sang and danced and there was even a Purple People Eater! They sang songs from past decades, beginning with the 1920s and including current fave "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas (I know you're impressed I knew that!!). So, I wanted to make a super cute card for Ms. Beeler to thank her for being such a great influence on our kiddos! When I saw this card on Pinterest, I knew it would be the PERFECT card for her. It was a cinch to make - can you believe you use a 1 1/4 inch circle punch to round the xylophone parts? Thanks for stopping by and have a great spring break!!

Ribbon Flower Beauty

I absolutely LOVE this card!! A friend of mine pinned this card on Pinterest (the new crack!!) and I couldn't wait to CASE it. Luckily, the girl who made it originally also posted a tutorial on how to make the ribbon flowers! Such a thoughtful girl! I'm still mastering my technique and sadly, my first attempt was a lot better than my second, but I'm getting there and it sure is fun trying! Sadly, I'm now out of saddle-stitch ribbon . . . :( Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Well, I'm a little embarrassed to just now be posting this St. Patrick's Day card since it would be too late to make and send it NOW, but he's such a cutie that I threw caution to the wind! I found this little leprechaun on this blog, and I made this card for my secret prayer partner. Here are the punches that were used to create it, as copied from the blog, Confessions of a Stamping Addict: Punches: Scallop Circle #2 Big Shot Die (larger one of the two, used for the tag), 2 1/2" Circle Punch (brushed gold circle on tag), Scallop Circle Punch (hair), 1 3/8" Circle Punch (face), 1/2" Circle Punch (nose and use a dimensional under it), 5 Petal Punch (mustache), Cupcake Punch (circles from this are used for the eyes), Word Window Punch (brim of hat), 1/4" Circle Punch (ears)

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREEN rest-of-the-day!

Always Inspired by Chat

WOW! I found this beautiful card on this blog that I stalk on a regular basis and I think it is gorgeous! Chat uses white cardstock bases often and I love how her colors pop against the neutral background. The layers and textures add so much dimension to the card and it is easily adaptable to other occasions and patterned papers. I just love versatile layouts!! Thanks for stopping by - have a great week!

Butterfly Love

I LOVE this card!! It's another Pinterest find and I didn't think I was going to be able to make it because my square punches seemed a little "off." I am so glad I kept going because I think the finished project looks great! It's no secret how attached I am to punches and I used several on this card, which helped it go together fairly quickly. Always a plus! Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You, Pinterest!!

I've been working on Karen's card order (woo hoo!!) and this thinking of you card is one of the many I found on Pinterest. I love how there's no stamping except for the sentiment and the beautiful designer paper takes center stage. And this is definitely one of my favorite patterns! I use it very sparingly because I'm pretty sure SU! has retired it which is so sad because it really is gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
